Research Associate
J. Elliot Marketing is seeking a remote, short-term research associate to help lay the groundwork for a proprietary creative endeavor.
Background
Understanding Human Behavior in the Modern Era
The way we behave as humans has changed dramatically over the last century. Yet, this seemingly recent and fast-paced shift is the result of a consistent pattern of events that have begun to increase exponentially in recent years. To gain a better understanding of how we arrived in the present, it’s imperative to look at the trends of the past, so that we might guide ourselves to a more mindful and meaningful future.
Objective
To understand the patterns of the present, it’s important to identify key events in human history that changed behavior and shaped the ever-emerging “new normal.” While it may seem that a simple Google search might suffice, it will require a broader sense of history, economics, and human behavior to identify a comprehensive list of key events that will then be combed and trimmed down for a more targeted research review.
Deliverables
This project will involve two key deliverables. The first involves developing a list of 60 inventions and/or adventions that changed human behavior on a micro-level between the 1500s and 2000s. Once this list is combed and reviewed, the second deliverable will involve providing a short 1-page summary for each one of the top 10 selected from the initial list.
Timeline
The project is scheduled to take no more than 4-6 weeks from start to the finish, with the desired start in July/August 2022.
